Our adventure begins with an early morning pick-up at Mariscal Sucre Airport or in downtown Quito at 8:30 AM. From there, we’ll kick off our exploration with a visit to the iconic “Mitad del Mundo” (Middle of the World), where you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere. After soaking in this unique experience, we’ll return to the heart of Quito for a tour of its historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Prepare to be awed by the stunning architecture of the Voto Nacional Church, Independence Square, Quito Cathedral, and the picturesque cobblestone streets of La Ronda. We’ll also visit iconic landmarks such as Santo Domingo Church, known for its intricate Baroque facade, and the awe-inspiring Jesuit Church of the Society of Jesus. The tour concludes at San Francisco Square, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore one of Quito’s oldest and most charming neighborhoods.

As the day draws to a close, we’ll return to our accommodation, allowing you to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Day 2: Conquering the Majestic Cotopaxi Volcano

On day two, we’ll set out from Quito at 8:30 AM for an exhilarating journey to Cotopaxi Volcano, one of Ecuador’s most iconic landmarks. Situated within Cotopaxi National Park, this majestic volcano stands at a towering 5,897 meters (19,347 feet) above sea level, making it one of the highest active volcanoes in the world.

Our first stop will be at Limpiopungo Lagoon, located at an altitude of 3800 meters (12,467 feet), where you’ll be mesmerized by the stunning views of the surrounding Andean landscape. From there, we’ll continue our ascent towards the refuge, situated at an impressive 4800 meters (15,748 feet) above sea level.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you’ll have the opportunity to embark on a 45-minute hike up to the refuge, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks and rugged terrain. At this altitude, you’ll truly feel on top of the world as you take in the breathtaking beauty of Cotopaxi.

After a day of exploration and adventure, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing our journey to the charming town of Baños de Agua Santa. Nestled in the foothills of the Andes, Baños is renowned for its natural beauty, hot springs, and adventure sports. We’ll arrive in Baños around six in the evening, allowing you to settle into your accommodation and unwind after an action-packed day.

Day 3: Thrilling Adventures in Baños

Day three is all about adrenaline-fueled adventures in Baños. We’ll kick off the day with an exhilarating session of River Rafting, where you’ll navigate the rapids of the Patate River amidst stunning natural scenery. This thrilling activity is suitable for all skill levels, making it the perfect way to experience the rush of whitewater rafting in the heart of the Andes.

In the afternoon, we’ll continue the excitement with a thrilling session of Canyoning. Strap on your harness and rappel down cascading waterfalls as you explore the rugged terrain of Baños. This adrenaline-pumping activity offers a unique perspective of the region’s natural beauty, allowing you to immerse yourself in the pristine wilderness.

After an action-packed day of adventure, we’ll return to our accommodation in Baños, where you can relax and recount the day’s thrilling experiences.

Day 4: Exploring Baños Highlights and Return to Quito

On our final day, we’ll explore the highlights of Baños before returning to Quito. We’ll start the day with a visit to the famous Route of the Waterfalls, a scenic route that winds through lush valleys and towering waterfalls. One of the highlights of this journey is the iconic Pailon del Diablo waterfall, where you can take a leisurely hike to witness the power and beauty of nature up close.

Next, we’ll visit the renowned Casa del Árbol, located in the Ganges National Park at an altitude of 2700 meters (8,858 feet) above sea level. This iconic attraction is famous for its “swing at the end of the world,” offering breathtaking views of the Tungurahua volcano and surrounding landscape.

After soaking in the beauty of Baños, we’ll embark on our return journey to Quito, where our adventure comes to an end.
